Event Description
For visitors, for businesses for the Catskill Region. A new opportunity awaits.
The Catskills Great Outdoor Experience Festival is moving to the NEW Maurice D. Hinchey Catskill Interpretive Center on Saturday, August 15, and Sunday August 16, 2015.
This event (held previously in Margaretville in Delaware county) will bring each county with its substantial tourism promotion organizations together to showcase the many travel opportunities that are available in our four county region. For many of us we will be meeting a new audience who is learning for the first time about the Catskills – its history and culture and how best to enjoy travel throughout the Catskill Park.
Every season in the Catskills visitors come to recreate. More trails are available for hiking and mountain biking and in 2012 four-reservoirs were opened for non-motorized boating. A recent study has proven that there are many economic opportunities from Outdoor Recreational Activities attracting more than 1.7 million visitors to the Catskills and that is sure to increase again each year.
We invite you to join us at the 2015 Great Outdoor Experience Festival and be part of this NEW showcase for tourism travel. Learn how you may benefit from the Catskill Interpretive Center and promote those clubs, outfitters, licensed guides, or tourism destination in your county.
