Poetry Workshops
This poetry writing workshop will explore how writers approach some of the broad subject areas found in lyric poetry: the personal poem, the public poem, poems about places, poems about things, poems about popular culture. We will focus mostly on our own writing, and discussing our writing, but we will also look at poems by other poets for inspiration and for models of what is possible in the form and in the language.

Re-Store Design Challenge Gala Awards Celebration
This summer, three teams of prominent designers, builders, artists, and local students spent two days and one-thousand dollars each to design and renovate three vacant storefronts in the Catskill village of Roxbury. On four open-house weekends, area visitors, residents, and press have touredthe stores and imagined a village transformed by exciting design. At this gala awards event a public vote and juried review will decide the winning team, sending the winning student to college with a scholarship.
