Haines Falls artist exhibits at CWC officeSeventeen oil paintings of North and South Lakes, Kaaterskill Falls and Rip Van Winkle Lake in the Town of Hunter, and scenes in Maplecrest, Lexington and other locales, are on display at the CWC through September 30. The public is most welcome to stop by to view them during business hours (8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday).
Mara Lehmann of Evermore Art Studio paints simple, quiet scenes of country roads, working farms, wooded paths, rivers and lakes in traditional, representational style. “To capture on canvas the feelings of tranquility evoked by nature has always been my endeavor as well as my source of inspiration,” explains the artist.
A former New Jersey resident, Lehmann has worked as a textile and graphic design artist and has taught art to people of all ages. She holds a BA from SUNY Stony Brook and a Master’s in Art from Columbia University. Her work has been shown in galleries throughout the New York metropolitan region, and in the Catskills at Windham Fine Arts, Indian Mountain Arts, Kaaterskill Gallery, the Catskill Mountain Foundation and other galleries.
She can be reached at evermoreart@aol.com, or 518-589-3957.
